Play pub trivia from the comfort of your own pajamas as "professional" trivia host, Lydia, broadcasts live from her living room! You can play solo or with a team of up to 6 people. If your team will be participating from more than one location, we recommend at least one computer from each location joins the event. Alternatively, you can have one representative on the event and then set up a FaceTime/phone call/Google Hangouts situation on the side to discuss questions that way. OR YOU CAN DO BOTH!?!? Whatever works for you, works for us!
Here are the details: 1- Contact us via Facebook messenger or email at firstname.lastname@example.org to give us your team name and the names of those on your team so we can put everyone into their respective teams ahead of time. It is helpful to have an email address for the person signing in at each location so we can put participants into teams much more quickly. If you don't get the info to us, no problem, it will just allow us to get started as close to 7pm as possible.
2- If you are playing solo, or all your team members are at the same location, awesome! You can email if you have a team name and just let us know you are flying solo, that will help us too.
3- Here is the link to the event. You do not have to sign up ahead of time, just click on the link and you should be directed to the event. https://tinyurl.com/NSTCTrivia2
A free will donation of $5-10 per person is suggested.
Funds raised will help to support NSTC during the COVID-19 mandatory shut down which has forced the cancellation of at least two productions.
Northern Star Cancels Summer productions
It is with a heavy heart that we have made the devastating decision to cancel both our summer productions “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” and “The Music Man.” After much discussion we determined that it is simply not possible to properly implement the appropriate social-distancing and safety measures we feel will be necessary at every show as well as throughout the rehearsal process. Our cast, crew, volunteers and audience members are our top priority; if we cannot guarantee the health and safety of all our stakeholders, the show simply cannot go on. For 24 years our summers have been filled with the excitement of creating magic on the Northern Star stage and we are heartbroken that this summer our stage will be dark. We are considering several different options that will allow us to bring theater to all of you so we encourage you to stay tuned for details coming soon!
Ticket sales account for approximately 85% of our income here at NSTC. Cancelling a production results in a significant loss of revenue for our theater. Without revenue, we struggle to pay for licensing for shows, purchase materials for sets and costumes and make necessary upgrades to our sound and light equipment.
In these uncertain times, there are still a number of ways you can support Northern Star so that we can still be here after this crisis to bring your favorite productions to the stage. Some of the ways you can support us right now include:
Become a show Sponsor for an upcoming production! Your Show Sponsorship at any level is tax-deductible.
Purchase tickets NOW for a show later this season
Purchase gift cards to be used at a later date.
Make a tax-deductible donation to the theater
Thank you for your support of Northern Star Theatre Company as your friendship means so much to us. Please take good care of yourself and your family. We look forward to welcoming you back to Northern Star Theatre Company soon.
Sincerely, Nicolle Orson and Amy Myers Executive Directors Northern Star Theatre Company
